No sound from the Caimen

I can't figure out how to get sound through the Caimen... No matter what variation I use. - normal in and out or buffer in normal out or even normal in and FS1 or 2 out I get no sound??? Help ! It should at least give me a signal right? I did not add in any loops yet as I"m just truing to make sure I get sound before I move on to rewiring my pedals...
